Helps the Bride select attire and address invitations.
Plans Bridal Shower for the Bride.
Arrives at the dressing site two hours before the ceremony to assist the bride in dressing.
Arranges the Bride's veil and train before the processional and recessional.
Holds bridal bouquet and the Groom's ring, if no ring bearer, during the ceremony.
Witnesses the signing of the marriage certificate.
Dances with the Best Man during the Bridal Waltz.
Helps Bride into her going away clothes.

Is responsible for organising the Usher's activities.
Organises the bachelor party for the groom.
Drives the Groom to the ceremony site and sees that he is properly dressed before the wedding.
Pays the clergyman, musicians, photographer and other service providers the day of the wedding.
Holds the Bride's ring for the Groom, if there is no ring bearer.
Witnesses the signing of the marriage certificate.
Drives the newlyweds to the reception, if no driver has been hired.
Offers the first toast at the reception usually before dinner.
Dances with the Maid of Honour during the Bridal Waltz.
Oversees the return of tuxedo/suit rentals for Groom and Ushers, on time and in good condition. |

Assist the Maid of Honour with the planning of the Bridal Shower.
Assist the Bride with errands and addressing invitations.
Participates in all pre-wedding parties.
Arrives at dressing site two hours before the wedding.
Walk behind the Groomsman in order of height during the processional, either in pairs or in single file.
Sit next to Groomsmen at the head table.
Dance with the Groomsmen and other important guests.
Encourage any single women to participate in the bouquet-throwing ceremony. |
Assist the Best Man with the Bachelor Party.
Distribute wedding programs and maps to the reception venue as guests arrive.
Seat guests at the ceremony.
If a female, offer the right arm and if a male, walk along his left side. If a couple, offer right arm to the female; and suggest the gentleman follow.
Seat Bride's guests in the left hand pews and the Groom's guests in the right hand pews.
If pew ribbons are used, two Groomsmen may loosen them one row at a time after the ceremony. Direct guests to the Reception site.
Dance with the Bridesmaids and other important guests. |
